Directions

Voltarol should be used following the instructions provided. 

  • Voltarol Emulgel is meant for external use.
  • Clean and dry the affected area before applying the gel.
  • Squeeze out a small amount of gel from the tube or press firmly and evenly on the dispenser's nozzle to apply to the painful or swollen region, then massage slowly into the skin.
  • Apply the gel 3 to 4 times a day with an interval of 4 hours between applications of the gel.
  • Wash your hands after applying the gel, unless you are treating them
  • If you are using this medication on a child, use only for diaper rash or for up to 6 weeks as directed by the doctor
  • Wash your hands after use unless your hands are the site being treated.

The inactive Ingredients are carbomers, diethylamine, isopropyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, purified water, propylene glycol, cetomacrogol, perfume (containing benzyl benzoate), cocoyl caprylocaprate, among others.
